Sometimes the needs of a beginner are unmet in large group classes, which often move too quickly, can be overwhelming, and may even be potentially injurious. One of my favorite ways to teach is privately, one-on-one, or in the context of smaller groups, where I can tailor my approach to you. You will receive my full attention, with hands-on adjustments that foster deep kinetic understanding of the postures and breath.
I help you to create a space in your own home — or office environment — that is a place to unwind, let go of stress and the rest of the day, and take a much-needed “time-out” from the whirlwind of external input. I also provide you with short, easy-to-follow routines that you can do on your own so that you will develop an autonomous personal home practice, one that you can take with you anywhere, anytime, for the rest of your life.
I love working with individuals, small groups, couples, and families with kids. I come to your home or office; we meet on your schedule, and go at your pace. No prior experience, body type, age, or flexibility is required. We start from the ground up, and progress comes quickly. The focus is on you, and is geared to your capabilities and your goals.
If you are a more experienced student looking to deepen your practice, a private session can be a turning point for us to dissect your existing practice, correct habits that are no longer serving you, and discover proper alignment techniques that will set the stage for radical future progress.
Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information, scheduling, and rates. I look forward to working with you!
